Stardust is a timeless British film that has become a classic. With a brilliant cast of whose who of British actors, as well as Michelle Pfieffer, Claire Danes and Robert De Niro, this film brings joy and happiness throughout! If you’re looking for a feel good fantasy film then this is it!

We are transported to an English village in the 1800s where our unlikely hero Tristain, played by Charlie cox, vows to bring back a fallen star for the towns ‘beauty’ Sienner Miller, he must travel passed the guarded wall in by his town to the magical realm of Stormhold. However, the star is no lump of rock, it’s a maiden, Yvaine, Claire Danes. Tristan, the youth, is not the only one looking for her: three witches, led by Lamia, Pfieffer, want her heart to make them young; and, the sons of the dead king of Stormhold want her because she holds a ruby that will give one of them title to the throne. Assisting Tristan are his mother, the victim of a spell, and a cross-dressing pirate of the skies played by none other than Robert De Niro. Will Tristan win his true love?

This film is beautiful, and is made evermore so by the fantastical realm of Stormhold and those that reside in it. You spend the whole film smiling whenever Claire Danes does and laughing at the original tough guy Robert Di Nero as a cross dresser! Charlie Cox plays a brilliant lead role and you end up routing for him the whole way. Mark strong reprises his almost certain role of the bad guy and plays it incredibly well.

I love this film and can watch it again and again and again.
